West Point Lighthouse, at the foot of Seattle’s Magnolia Bluff in woodsy Discovery Park. Houses of light have been symbols of spirituality in cultures throughout history. The idea that a structure can be built to serve as a place of illumination, shedding light on what we might not always be able to see, is central to the engineering marvel that is a lighthouse. Lighthouses were constructed to serve as beacons, to guide mariners in a storm, to be seen on the darkest of nights in order to allow safe passage. My most popular work is my limited editions — they are matted out in pebble white to 12 x 16. Some may be sold out for the series is limited.
