We celebrate small owner opperated business of which the market is filled.

It can be said that the rise of Seattle started with the PI headline announcing "a ton a gold aboard" triggering the late 1800's Klondike gold rush. So much money was spent here outfitting that it was said that Seattle is where the real Gold Rush took place.

For this edition we celebrate the Market's heart and soul, her small owner-operated businesses. A community drawn from all over the world. Our community is described by some as a collection of brilliant misfits who, collectively, have forged a fantastic island of uniqueness, celebration and a can-do spirit.

Market Ghost Tours are one hour walking tours of the Pike Place Market. They are offered on a regular schedule from March-October. They are based on the stories shared by residents and workers within the historic Pike Place Market. Seattle's very interesting beginnings are mixed in with the stories. Subject matters covered are not appropriate for very young children. Be prepared for stairs and walking. We go under and around the Market and end the tour close to Seattle's first mortuary. Have any questions, please call me. ~ Mercedes 206-322-1218 (ticket line - I will call you back so leave your number!)
